About the artist
Emile Cronjé is a South African expressionist painter and son of artist Gawie Cronjé. Born in 1967, he inherited an artistic legacy but developed his own bold style. Influenced by Gregoire Boonzaier and the Old Masters, Cronjé began painting around age 10. He favors vivid colors and loose, gestural brushstrokes to convey emotion.
