Emile Cronjé is a South African expressionist painter and son of artist Gawie Cronjé. Born in 1967, he inherited an artistic legacy but developed his own bold style. Influenced by Gregoire Boonzaier and the Old Masters, Cronjé began painting around age 10. He favors vivid colors and loose, gestural brushstrokes to convey emotion. Over two decades he has exhibited his works widely – including a solo show at the South African House of Art in London (2004). His paintings blend impressionistic technique with African subject matter, making them popular among South African collectors.
