Biography

Jean Abrie is a South African painter famous for his highly detailed, realistic wildlife and landscape art. He grew up traveling across southern Africa, fostering a lifelong love of nature. Abrie earned a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Pretoria. He paints primarily in oil, depicting safari animals, rural scenes and people. His works often reflect first-hand observations: giraffes, lions, antelope and local flora appear with photographic accuracy.
