Marc Poisson (born 1952) is a self-taught South African landscape and seascape artist. He has painted for over 35 years using oil, acrylic and pastel. Poisson's work is characterized by dramatic lighting and color, often featuring mountains and coastal vistas. He draws on his travels in South Africa and Australia to create vivid, romantic scenes. After working in an art gallery, he turned to full-time painting, holding exhibitions since the 1980s. His “African Visions” collection toured U.S. galleries, reflecting his international appeal. Poisson's works are found in numerous private collections in South Africa and abroad.
