Biography

André Vorster is a self-taught South African painter and illustrator who has worked full-time since 1986. He is best known for colorful landscapes and wildlife scenes, especially of the African bushveld. Vorster's work has been exhibited by leading galleries across South Africa and collected internationally. His paintings (titles include Bushveld and Bushveld Baobab) emphasize natural motifs and bold composition. Institutions like Anglo American, the US Embassy, the University of Pretoria, Standard Bank and Vodacom hold Vorster's work.
