Anton Gericke is a Johannesburg-born South African painter known for his rich, illustrative style. He began painting at age 6, grew up traveling (his parents ran a hotel) and later studied pharmacy and art. He took art courses at Technikon Port Elizabeth and was mentored by noted artists Errol Boyley and Isabel le Roux.
